According to renowned leaker Ice Universe, Samsung has halted the global One UI 7 update rollout after a critical bug was discovered on the Korean Galaxy S24 series. Initially, the issue was thought to be limited to Exynos-powered devices, but it has since been found to affect Snapdragon models as well, including units in the US and other global markets.

The update, which is based on Android 15, was scheduled to roll out on April 7 but has now been suspended in all regions. The report states that the OTA files have been removed from Samsung’s servers, and even the official rollout roadmap published by Samsung Vietnam’s newsroom has been removed.
Samsung has not made any official announcement regarding this. But some information has revealed that the company has started working to solve this problem. Users of many phones, like the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6, are facing a lot of problems due to the sudden halt in the rollout.
Those who have installed the update can expect a follow-up OTA to fix the issue. Also, the older Galaxy S21 and S22 ranges are expected to get the fix in May as planned. This indicates a sudden delay in Samsung’s software testing and quality assurance, especially after the extended beta phase. Users are worried about future updates as they are disappointed with the communication and update roadmap.
Samsung has advised Galaxy users to be prepared for future updates and regularly monitor the software sector of their device. Samsung will probably resume the rollout once the issue is fully resolved.
